Doctoral candidate in History of Modern Art at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Master in History of Art and graduated in Conservation and Restoration at the same institution. He has worked in both areas since 1997, having held positions in the Directorate-General for National Buildings and Monuments and in the Lisbon City Council, where he was co-responsible for the restoration program of the Churches in Historic Districts in the Municipal Directorate for Urban Rehabilitation (2003–2006). He was coordinator of the Degree in Conservation and Restoration and professor of the Master in Urban Rehabilitation of Interiors at the Superior School of Decorative Arts — Ricardo do Espírito Santo Foundation (2008-2018).
He currently works as an Architectural Consultant in Urban Rehabilitation and Heritage Conservation, for several public and private entities. Historian specializing in reconstructions of historic buildings and missing architectural heritage — Turismo de Lisboa, Museu do Banco de Portugal (2007-2013) — he was in this capacity examining jury for two master’s theses in Architecture at the University of Coimbra (2012 and 2014). He is a researcher at the Institute of Art History of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and has published several scientific and popular articles in the area of Heritage and History of Architecture.
